Professional Biography:
Dore J. Gilbert, M.D., received his undergraduate degree from UC Santa Barbara in 1971, his medical Degree from the University of SOuthern California in 1975, and in 1976 completed a Surgery Internship at USC Medical Center, Los Angeles County. Dr. Gilbert completed a residency in Dermatology at Harbor General Hospital from 1976-79 where he served as Chief Resident from 1978-79.
He has received Board Certification in Laser Surgery from the American Board of Laser Surgery. Dr. Gilbert is a member of the American Medical Association, International Society of Cosmetic Laser Surgeons, American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery, and The American Society of Dermatologic Surgery.

Dr. Gilbert has been a distinguished speaker and clinical instructor lecturing at: The Fifth Congress of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology in Lisbon, Portugal; The ESCRS Congress, Prague, Czech Republic; Dublin, Ireland; and the Polymed International Symposium in Zurich, Switzerland.

Married 27 years and counting, he is the proud father of five, President of the Saddle Back Valley School District, an enthusiastic football, baseball and softball coach when he's not busy surfing or volunteering with the local fire department.

Today, Dr. Gilbert is the Medical Director of Newport Dermatology & Laser Associates, which includes a Medical Spa, in Newport Beach, CA. He has been in practice for twenty-five years, specializing in laser, light and radiofrequency solutions for aging skin and acne, in addition to his general dermatology, and skin cancer practice.
