Biography:
Dr. Arielle N.B. Kauvar graduated from Princeton University where she
was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and Sigma Xi. She pursued her medical
education at Harvard Medical School and the Health Science and Technology
program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where her research
concentrated on the effects of ultraviolet radiation on the cutaneous
immune system. Dr. Kauvar completed her dermatology residency at New
York University Medical Center followed by a fellowship in Mohs micrographic
surgery and laser surgery. She is a board-certified dermatologist and
practices in New York City, where she is Associate Director of the Laser
and Skin Surgery Center of New York. Dr. Kauvar is a clinical assistant
professor of dermatology at New York University Medical Center and an
attending in the Department of Plastic Surgery at the New York Eye and
Ear Infirmary.
Dr. Kauvar
has published and lectured extensively on a national and international
basis on laser and dermatologic surgery. She continues to be actively
engaged in the development and clinical testing of new laser technology
and therapeutic laser techniques which are now commonly used throughout
the world.
